About

I love God. I’m a wife, mom of four children and two dogs, Integrative Health Practitioner, writer, and wishful farmer. I believe that our bodies were masterfully and divinely designed to be well, and because of that design, that we are inherently self healing.

Both my husband and I have histories of chronic illness and automimmune disease in our families. In recent years, I’ve seen young friends diagnosed with cancer and autoimmune diseases. I see friends on multiple medications to treat varying imbalances in their bodies. I’ve seen friends who experience infertility, post partum depression, and varying metabolic diagnoses. I’m a wonderer to the core, so I naturally began asking why. What makes us sick? What environmental factors create imbalances in our bodies? Can we prevent disease by creating health?

I became an Integrative Health Practitioner to help answer these questions for myself and others. I’ve come to learn that every decision we make is a health decision, and we have the power to influence our cells by the way we live. We are the greatest influence of our health, and we have the the ability to change it for the better.

How does it work?

Through a comprehensive intake and functional lab testing, I help you identify root cause obstacles to your wellness. Based on this information, we work together to create a bio-individualized plan to remove toxicities, restore deficiencies, and help rebalance your body so it can do what it was made to do: be well.

FAQs

  • Integrative health is focused on whole person healing from a root cause framework. Integrative Health Practitioners know there are underlying imbalances stemming from nutritional deficiencies and environmental toxicities that, when rebalanced, allow for true healing to take place in the body. When we address chronic illness through environmental and lifestyle factors, positive health outcomes result.

Understanding how your body functions as a whole, not just as a machine made of separate systems, is paramount in identifying the underlying causes of disease. I will consider your health history, symptom profile, toxicity, current lifestyle rhythms, diet, and exercise when creating a bio-individualized plan for each client.

Integrative Health combines methods from functional medicine, ortho molecular medicine, traditional naturopathy, bio regulatory medicine, and traditional Chinese medicine in order to enable our clients to heal.

  • You may choose from three services, depending on your health needs and goals. You can read about each one here.

  • Functional lab tests provide insights that standard labs may not and will provide a deep dive into your personal biology. Functional labs help to identify potential pathogens, toxicities (mold, heavy metals, parasites, yeast, candida, H. Pylori, etc), and allergies, as well as identify any nutritional deficiencies. Truly, functional medicine labs give the clearest picture of underlying causes for disease.

Below are the labs I am certified to order and interpret:

    • IgG Food Sensitivity Test

    • Parasite and Bacteria Stool Test

    • Organic Acids Test

    • Omega 3 Test

    • Thyroid and Adrenal Hormone Test

    • Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis

    • Standard bloodwork

  • No, though generally recommended, you do not have to run lab tests.

  • In home functional lab tests will be ordered by me and sent directly to you so that you can complete them in the comfort and privacy of your own home. Tests will vary on what type of specimen is needed: blood stain, urine, hair sample, or stool.

Any bloodwork that requires a draw can be ordered and arranged to be taken at a local Quest Diagnostics or Lab Corp.

  • You have the option to pay for services in one payment or over a three month period. I never want payment to be an obstacle to healing.

Please note that lab testing, supplements, and any other recommended products are not included in the service price.
